Adding variety to spring meals is easy with the chicken bursa, or chicken burger salad! You can enjoy it with fries and salad or turn it into juicy burgers. Flavor the bursas with your favorite seasonings.

Chicken Bursa:

  • 400g of ground chicken
  • 1 egg
  • 1-2 tablespoons of sour cream
  • 3 tablespoons of breadcrumbs for the dough and 3 tablespoons for coating
  • 1-2 tablespoons of Indian spice mix
  • Salt and black pepper
  • A handful of dehusked hemp seeds for coating
  • 3 tablespoons of grated Parmesan cheese for coating
  • Oil or coconut fat for frying

Serve with French fries or salad and a variety of dipping sauces.

Start here: Mix all ingredients into the chicken mince. Instead of using Indian spice mix, you can season the mince with Mexican or Thai spices, for example! Shape into dough and let it rest in the refrigerator for half an hour.

Coating ingredients: peeled hemp seeds, grated Parmesan cheese, and (gluten-free) breadcrumbs. Mix well together.

Shape the dough into small patties by hand and coat them on both sides with the coating.

Fry the patties in a pan until they are beautifully browned. You can also cook the patties in an air fryer. Brown them in the pan and finish cooking them in a hot oven.
